Hands Care Tips - Take care of your hands

Hands are the first of all body parts to show your age and need quiet a lot of pampering and care to keep of wrinkles and keep them looking young, supple, soft and beautiful. Regular hand care can go a long way in maintaining smooth and soft hands and fingers. The best time to give yourself a manicure is after you have taken a shower or a warm bath. Your nails would be clean then and the skin would be well soaked. Biotin is known to make nails stronger in animals. It may be beneficial to human nails too to strengthen them. Nail polish tends to last longer when kept in the refrigerator. Use nail polish remover to thin it in case it is too thick. Do not use nail polish remover too often on your nails as it leads to dry nails that will crack and split. Ensure that nails are well hydrated. Apply oil or moisturizer or hand cream or Vaseline to your hands every night at bedtime. Soaking your nails in warm olive oil for about 10 minutes once a week can help strengthen them.

  • One effective method is to rib warm boiled water and mashed potatoes on hands and finger
  • Make a paste of tomato juice, glycerine and lime juice in equal proportion and apply on your hands.
  • Make a mixture of Vaseline and carbolic acid and rub in on your hands.

  • Wash your hands with lemon juice mixed water.
  • Massage hands and fingers with almond oil at night.
  • Mix a few drops of lemon juice and glycerine in whole milk cream. Rub on your hands and fingers at night.
  • For rough hands boil potatoes, peel them before they get cold. Rub the pulp on hand and fingers.
  • Glycerine mixed with rose water or cucumber juice rubbed on hands cleans the skin.
